The author captured a conversation between a fan and Moonbin on Twitter.

The fan wrote, “Moonbin, I wonder what kind of words you hear from Aroha (fandom name) make you feel most energized. Please tell me,” to which Moonbin replied, “It’s when he hears the words, ‘Thank you for being a singer,'” much to the chagrin of his fans.

At the end of the post, the author expressed his condolences, saying, “Thank you for being a singer.”

With the news of Astro member Moonbin‘s death, past interviews with him are spreading across various online communities.

According to Yonhap TV on Tuesday, Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 8:10 p.m. on April 19.

As a result, his interview with Arena Homme Plus in April last year has been resurfacing. However, some online communities have been circulating edited versions of the interview, spreading theories that he was mentally unstable long before his death. However, the full transcript of the interview reveals that he was in a rather healthy state at the time.

He was a natural artist who wrote essays in his spare time and was always looking for inspiration. His sensitive and emotional nature is evident in this interview.

In the interview, he said that he likes to keep records and hopes to one day publish essays illustrated with his paintings. He surprised us by revealing that he had collected 130 essays by the time of the interview. He is a passionate person who sees inspiration in everyday life and connects it to music.

His passion for recording had a lot to do with his naturally emotional nature. When asked, “Do you like to express your feelings,” he replied, “I don’t like it, I just record it. I capture the air, the mood, the emotions of the day. But I don’t express it directly. I liken it to other things. For example, I would compare the emotions of the day to a green tree.”

Above all, he was a true artist. He was always curious about the world and didn’t take the smallest elements of everyday life for granted. When asked if this creative habit influences his work, he replied, “Yes. It affects me as an artist and as a guest. When I write, I always imagine to condense meaning into metaphors. That imagination helps me a lot when I’m on stage and when I’m acting.”

On the other hand, there are times when his imagination can be a poison, and he admits that “there are times when I enjoy it so much that it can have a negative effect.”

“If I daydream too much, I imagine the worst,” he says. When I feel anxious, I know I should stop, but it keeps coming back and I make mistakes. It’s a negative, but the positive outweighs the negative when you stop daydreaming,” he said.

That doesn’t mean he was always mentally unstable; in fact, he was mentally healthy at the time. He wasn’t afraid of change, and he was always willing to work on the things that were holding him back.

“I used to be a perfectionist,” he says. “It’s so hard to be a perfectionist. All day long, I’m thinking about my mistakes, and it doesn’t make me better. I’m trying to be perfect, and I don’t have enough time. If you don’t have enough time to be satisfied and you want to fix it, you’re just asking for luck. You have to learn to let go. It’s great to prepare perfectly, but there’s always something left to be desired,” he said.

He continued, “I think (letting go of perfectionism) has given me a much broader perspective. I’m able to look outward instead of inward, and I listen to people more. If they say it’s really good, I know it’s good. I waste less time. I know how to fill my free time with the things I love, and I don’t lose sight of the forest when I’m focused on the immediate.” He was a man who knew how to take care of himself.

According to his agency Fantagio, Moonbin‘s funeral will be held as quietly as possible, with only family members and colleagues in attendance, in accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family. Moonbin’s final resting place is at Asan Medical Center Funeral Home in Seoul. The wake is scheduled for 8 a.m. on April 22.

Following the sudden passing of Astro member Moonbin, fans have been leaving their condolences on his last post.

On April 11, Moonbin posted a picture of a dandelion on his official Twitter account, along with the words, “Dandelion flower seeds, spread far and wide in the wind. Gently tickle my loved ones that spring has arrived,” he wrote.

Fans left condolences in Moonbin‘s last post, saying, “I’m sorry I couldn’t understand your pain,” “I hope you can live freely now, like a dandelion seed,” and “I can’t fathom what happened, but I hope you can find the people who were important to you in the wind, like a dandelion seed.”

With the passing of ASTRO member Moon Bin, the fact that he suffered from a sudden illness two weeks ago has been brought into the spotlight.

On April 7, ASTRO‘s official fan cafe posted an announcement on the official ASTRO fan cafe titled, “ASTRO Moonbin’s Physical Condition.”

“This morning, our artist ASTRO Moonbin was scheduled to depart for Thailand for the ‘2023 FAN CON: [DIFFUSION] IN BANGKOK tour,’ but after arriving at the airport, he felt unwell with dizziness, so he did not board the plane and took a rapid COVID-19 antigen test just in case,” the agency said.

“The test results confirmed that he was negative and he is currently resting and stabilizing. “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to passengers and airline officials who boarded the plane due to the sudden situation, and we will do our best to ensure the health and well-being of our artists,” he added.

Moonbin‘s death is especially shocking as he had been performing as a member of the group and their unit “Moon Bin & Sanha” until recently. On the 15th, a video of Moon Bin’s dance challenge was posted on Astro’s official YouTube channel.

According to Yonhap TV on Tuesday, Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 8:10 p.m. on Nov. 19. His manager reportedly called the police after finding him.

“The police believe that Moonbin made an extreme choice and are investigating the exact cause of death and are reportedly considering an autopsy,” the media outlet said.

“On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left our side and became a star in the sky,” the agency said in a statement on its official SNS on April 20. “Although we cannot compare to the sadness of the bereaved families who lost their beloved son and brother, all ASTRO members who have been with us for a long time, as well as our fellow artists and employees at Fantagio, are deeply mourning the loss with great sadness and shock,” the statement continued.

“We ask that you refrain from speculative and malicious reporting so that the family, who are deeply saddened by this sudden news, can honor and pay their respects.”

According to Fantio, the funeral will be held as quietly as possible, with only family members and company colleagues in attendance, in accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family. Mr. Moon’s body is being held at Asan Medical Center Funeral Home in Seoul. The wake is scheduled for 8 a.m. on April 22.

The tragic passing of ASTRO‘s Moonbin left fans in sorrow, as a poignant interview from his life surfaced.

Last September, Cosmopolitan magazine published a revealing interview titled “The Real Moonbin: Unmasked.”

During the conversation, Moonbin was asked, “If you could be an angel and perform one good deed, what would it be?” He responded, “I’d want to offer those who made extreme decisions a second chance.”

He went on to explain, “We never know when or where something might happen, but we don’t constantly dwell on the idea of death. It’s unfortunate and wasteful to make such extreme choices when there are so many joyful things to think about each day, like what to eat or what to wear tomorrow.”

Additionally, when questioned about his thoughts on karma, he shared, “I do believe in it. Buddhism discusses karma, and though I’m not religious, I have faith in the concept of reaping what you sow.”

Moonbin reflected on moments in his life where he wondered, “Where did I go wrong?” He emphasized the importance of learning from the past without getting overly fixated on it, as dwelling on previous events doesn’t resolve present issues. He admitted to having a habit of revisiting certain experiences to make sense of his actions.

On November 19, Moonbin‘s manager discovered him lifeless in his Gangnam-gu, Seoul, residence at approximately 8:10 p.m. His agency, Fantasio, issued a statement mourning the loss: “ASTRO member Moon Bin has unexpectedly left us to become a star in the heavens.”

Moonbin’s body is currently at the Asan Medical Center Funeral Home in Seoul. The wake will take place on May 22 at 8 a.m., with a private funeral attended by family, friends, and colleagues, in accordance with the family’s wishes.

Moonbin, who debuted as an ASTRO member in 2016, was well-loved by fans. In recent years, he actively participated in the unit group Moonbin & Sanha, embarking on international fan tours.

Broadcaster Jang Jang Kyu broke down in tears during a live radio broadcast to announce the death of group ASTRO’s Moonbin.

While hosting MBC FM4U’s ‘Good Morning FM Jang Jang Kyu’ on the morning of the 20th, Jang Sung-kyu broke the news of the late Moonbin, who was found dead at his home the previous day (19th).

On that day, a listener sent him a message saying, “It’s so sad that he had so many fans.” “I can’t believe it,” said Jang Jang Gyu, “there was unfortunate news early this morning.”

He continued, “It was reported that group astro Moonbin died at his home. I can’t imagine what happened to him because he was so cheerful the last time I saw him,” and expressed his condolences, saying, “May he rest in peace.” He continued, “First of all, I want to give you strength.”

According to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on Tuesday, Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, at around 8:10 p.m. the previous day. He was 25 years old.

His manager found him dead and called the police. The police believe that Moonbin made an extreme choice and are investigating the exact cause of death. The deceased’s body has been placed in the funeral home of Seoul Asan Medical Center.
